Volvo AA XC MTB Series (Race 2) - Chi Ma Wan - May 16, 2010 - 9:30am start (Registration at 8:30am) - 1 lap and 2 laps (12km & 24km)

Full 12km & 24km results plus top 3 category positions uploaded as pdf attachment at bottom of page. Series standing results up by this Friday.

Permission FINALLY GIVEN FOR USING EXTENSION TRAIL BETWEEN SHAP LONG KAU TSUEN AND SHAP LONG CHUNG HAU

Registration - HK$200 until May 12 then HK$300

8:30am - Registration starts at Shap Long Kau Tsuen by Wooden arch at top of Chi Ma Wan Road hill.

9:15am - Safety briefing at registration area

9:30am - Start 24km category at Chi Ma Wan Shap Long Kau Tsuen

9:35am - Start 12km category at Chi Ma Wan Shap Long Kau Tsuen

Transport - Ferry, bus or taxi to South Lantau

HK Island - 7am Ferry from Central (Mui Wo Pier #6 in front of IFC - then catch inter-island ferry leaving Mui Wo pier at 8am sharp. This inter-island ferry arrives at Chi Ma Wan Correctional Institute Pier at 8:20am. Only 5 min easy ride to Shap Long Kau Tsuen start.

Tung Chung, Lantau - Some people will take taxi from Tung Chung direct to Shap Long Kau Tsuen which is on Chi Ma Wan Road near Pui O. Other way is to rent a Lantau van from Tung Chung as they have country park permits for vans to get you over to South Lantau. Or you can rent a lorry truck and split the cost. Getting to Tung Chung many participants just take the wheels off their bike and put in a bike bag so you can walk on the MTR with it.

M 18-29, M 30-34, M 35-39 M 40-44, M 45-49, M 50+

INDIVIDUAL CATEGORIES for 12 km (1 loop of Chi Ma Wan) - starts 9:35am
W 16-29, W 30-39, W 40-49, W50+
M 16-29, M 30-34, M 35-39, M 40-44, M 45-49, M 50+

Changes, Cancellation & Refunds
Strictly no refunds once payment is made.  No transfer of credit is possible. Race Director has the final say on all matters.

Bike Numbers and Personal Bag Check:
Bike numbers for your bike handlebars, a category letter for your back and shirts (if you've paid extra) to be picked up at registration 1 hour before race start. Bag check at registration area at Shap Long Kau Tsuen.

Drinks:
Meko & Gatorade on course and finish. And Pure Blonde BEER at finish

Gels:

High5 gels for everyone at registration.

PRIZES:

HK$500 cash for Overall top individual male of 2 lap race.
HK$500 cash for Overall top individual women of 2 lap race. Medals for top 3 in each individual category in 2 lap 30 km race

Certificates for all top 3 category winners.
