22km - 967m elevation gain, 967 elevation loss, total gain/loss 1934m, Min elev 68m, max elev 448m.

Location: Tai Tong Shan Rd BBQ (opposite AFCD entrance gate top of Tai Tong Shan Road hill), Tai Lam Country Park, N.T., Hong Kong

Transport: Bus option in entry fee from Admiralty, Kowloon Tong, Shatin MTR (extra HK$22 to start. Free shuttle after race).

Other transport options: Taxi from Yuen Long MTR around 10 minutes HK$40.

Parking: Large car park 100 meters below start suitable for around 100 vehicles. Get off Yuen Long Highway, Tai Tong Road south, left on Kiu Hing Rd, left on Tai Tong Shan Rd and follow to very top.

Course description:

14 km

This course has a lot more flat sections then the 22 km. Starts off running on the country park road from the Tai Tong Shan BBQ opposite the AFCD compound and goes 600m up slightly to the 2nd trail turn. Short stair case then backtracks to the Yuen Tuen trail for  short rolling hills until you reach the little temple at 3 way junction (Around 1.7 km), then turn left around 100m and turn right up set of stairs taking you to upper road. Turn right on road and follow uphill for 1.3 km until small trail on right that goes straight up ridge to highest point (239m) then left turn and follow ridge main Tai Lam Chung Country Trail all the way until you reach the catchwater (passing 2 exits going to Tsing Long Hwy bus stops). Carry on catchwater until main road junction and continue right going back into Tai Lam Country park and after 100m (around 10.9 km) this will be water cp by signboard saying "Mountain Bike" trail turn left heading towards Ho Pui direction. This is where the 22 km category turns. The 14 km category continues straight on catchwater past the Wing Kat & Kat Hing Bridges passing the main BBQ grass area with many picnic tables and going another 200m up Tai Tong Shan Road until a right turn on the Yuen Tuen trail. From here around 2 km remaining with short run to temple, then left turn following the same ridge you came out on, except carry straight on at end directly to Tai Tong Shan Road, turn right and finish around 100m later for 14.5 km total.

22 km

Same as above except an extra mountain technical loop heading out towards Ho Pui direction 4 km on main trail until a steep trail on right side short cutting the cement road above to the MacLehose Road. Continue up this trail until the cement road, turning right until the MacLehose, then right again (big mountain bike sign) and carry on up road until you reach the fire lookout at very top with nice view. Turn right down mountain bike trail for around 200m (easy running trail) and then look out for first main trail junction on your left that you come across and take this single track trail that follows the ridge all the way down to a very steep technical trail section. At the bottom of this stay right on the main trail that leads to an electricity pylon and the trail goes under that still following the main ridge down coming out at the Wing Kat bridge by the MacLehose trail road junction. Turn left on the MacLehose and carry on past the main grass BBQ area that goes up Tai Tong Shan Rd 200m until the right turn on Yuen Tuen trail as above then turn left at small temple along ridge until Tai Tong Shan Rd. Transport to venue:

Bus transport: (specify location in online registration when choosing category)

7:10am - Admiralty MTR (Cafe de Coral near McDonalds by taxi stand under cover)

7:10am - Kowloon Tong MTR (Somerset Rd - 75m away from KCR entrance)

7:15am - Shatin MTR (Pai Tau St). Please specify in the bio line in the online registration location.

*Note shuttle bus after race is free starting at 11 am thru 3pm every 30 min to Yuen Long MTR /bus station.

Public transport to start:
From HK side:
No 968 goes thru Western tunnel direct to Yuen Long. Then catch taxi (approx HK$40 to Tai Tong Shan Rd). Minibuses also along Tai Tong Shan / Kiu Hing Rd, but must walk 1 km up hill.

Confirmation is only after payment is received. Confirmed teams will be posted in the Confirmed Entry pdf attachment to the bottom of this web page. Updated every 3 weeks. Please make sure we have your correct email for all teammates as we will send out updates. Please notify us immediately if we have your wrong email or are not on confirmed list. FIRST COME FIRST SERVE SO GET YOUR ENTRY IN.

 

Cancellation & Refunds:
Strictly no refunds once payment is made. No transfer of credit is possible.  HK$100 for all changes, admin changes, etc. No changes within 14 days of event. Race Director has the final say on all matters.

Personal Bag Check:

At start line please put your personal bags with luggage number (same as race number) in luggage check. Organizers take no responsibility for your bags so please leave anything expensive at home.

Drinks:

Water ONLY on course and finish.  Water and BEER at finish.

PATAGONIA 野外大步走

日期 : 2012年11月25日(星期日)

起步時間 : 早上八時三十分

賽程: 14公里 (14.5) 及22公里 (22.1)

起點 :    大棠山道燒烤場 (大棠山道頂 – 漁護署閘口對面，大欖郊野公園)

交通 :穿梭巴士服務可供選擇(另須繳付港幣22元)，由金鐘、九龍塘及沙田港鐵站開出。

          另於賽後設有免費巴士。

其他交通方法: 可由元朗西鐵站轉乘的士(車程約十分鐘，港幣約四十元)

泊車 : 室外停車場(約車位100個)設於離起步點對落100米左右。離開元朗高速公路，往大棠路南行，左轉入僑興路，再靠左往大棠山道直駛到山頂盡頭。

賽道 : 請參閱附檔新比賽路線 (大棠山東)。

14公里及21公里

賽程:

14公里 

相比22公里賽程，這個賽道比較多平坦部分。起步於漁護署對外之大棠山燒烤場，沿郊野公園路直上微斜約600米轉入郊遊徑。若干梯級後進入元荃古道之小山坡，(約1.7公里)即到達位於三路交之小寺廟，左轉大約100米再往右轉連接梯級後便到達馬路。馬路往上走約1.3公里後便進入靠右手旁之小徑，沿山脊上直到(位於239米)山頂處，然後左轉沿著大欖涌郊遊徑一直至引水道 (途經2個通往青朗高速公路巴士站之路口)。沿引水道走直至返回大路交滙處靠右便重返大欖郊野公園範圍，往前走100米左右便到達水站(約10.9公里)，該處有”越野單車”徑之標誌告示左轉直指河貝方向。這是22公里轉接點。14公里賽事參賽者於引水道繼續往前走，越過永吉橋及吉慶橋並穿過燒烤場地，另接連大棠山路上200米直至返回元荃古道右轉。由此倒數約2公里，途經寺廟後左轉沿相同線返回終點，(除了最尾一段直接走往大棠山路，右轉進入最後100米衝線)。全程14.5公里。

22公里

除了14公里賽程外，22公里參賽者還須多走一圈技術要求之山路，即於轉接點後於主道上直往河貝方向走約4公里，直至到達一條右邊斜路小捷徑(通往位於麥理浩徑對上之石屎路)。沿這條小徑走直到石屎路，轉右到達麥理浩徑，再轉右(大型越野單車告示牌)往上走便到達山火瞭望台，景色優美。沿越野單車徑右轉約200米，往左手邊第一個主分差路口並沿此路一直通往下斜坡。斜坡底沿路靠右將遇上電纜支架台，往後於麥理浩徑路口到達永吉橋。麥理浩徑左轉穿過燒烤場地便到達大棠山道，約200米路程直到元荃古道右轉，於小寺廟左轉直到大棠山路。有關賽程距離標示，請參閱附件地圖。

穿梭巴士 詳情: (請於報名時，清楚填上所須穿梭巴士位置。)

早上7:10 – 金鐘港鐵站C2出口 (大家樂門口，有蓋的士站則)

早上7:10 – 九龍塘東鐵站F出口 (森麻實道，於東鐵站出口外約75米)

早上7:15 – 沙田東鐵站B出口(排頭街，於港鐵站往小巴站方向)

*注意於賽事完結後，免費接駁巴士將由早上11時至下午3時往來終點至元朗西鐵站/ 巴士站，並提供30分鐘一班次之服務。

公共交通工具(前往比賽場地):
香港出發: 

可乘坐九巴968號(經西隧)到元朗市，再轉乘的士(港幣約40元)直達大棠山路。另外，亦可轉乘小巴到大棠山路/ 僑興路，唯需步行斜路約1公里才到達場地。

參賽確認：
確認付款之報名紀錄方為有效。此外，參賽者資料將於每3個星期在Action Asia Events網頁內更新及公佈 (PDF檔)。 於報名時，請提供正確電郵以便大會寄上最新資訊。

取消或退款：
不設退款。不得更改參賽日期。參賽者須繳付港幣HK$100作為更改任何比賽組別、參賽者姓名或其他更改之行政費用。賽事總監保留最後決定權。

賽前登記 :

早上於集合處登記及派發號碼布、恤衫、扣針、行李牌及計時手帶。

個人物品行李寄存:

請將行李牌填上號碼(與參賽者號碼相同) ，並扣於個人物品上，存放於比賽起點。參賽者請勿把任何貴重物品存放於行李寄存區，大會將不會負責。

 注意事項 :
 1.  全程必須將號碼布掛在身前。
 2.  如要脫去上衣進行賽事，也請放置號碼布於身前當眼位置，不要放在臀部或腳上。
 3.  為免引致計時混亂，衝過終點後的參加者不能逆走或重返賽道。
 4.  於濕滑/ 峽窄賽道上，為免發生危險，不淮超越前面參賽者。
 5.  在安全情況下，如要超越前面參賽者，請揚聲示意。
 6.   於賽事進行中如要退出，因安全理由，懇請通知最就近之檢查站/ 終點站，以便計時工作人員為閣下登記(姓名、參賽號碼等)。
 
飲品 :

運動飲品及飲用水於跑道及終點提供。此外, 啤酒飲品於終點供應。
