Sung Breaks Chi Ma Wan Record.

Ken Sung was pushed to the limit by many of HK's top XC mountain bike riders in the 24 km (2 loops of Chi Ma Wan) course (with that extra hill thrown in at the ocean start) finishing in new record time of 1 hour 42 min 08 seconds celebrating his first Action Asia Event win. Sung was even more happy starting off the series ahead of 2008 champion Cheng Cheuk Chun who finished 2 minutes back in 1:44:10 and only 37 seconds behind was local Ham Tin boy Pierre Le Magnan who pushed Cheng right to the limit finishing in 1:44:47 with a blistering pace in exposed hot and hard track conditions.

May 3, 2009 - XC Action Asia Mountain Bike series - Chi Ma Wan (Race 1 of 4) - Over 110 confirmed. HK$300 late entry now.

9:30 am start at Chi Ma Wan (Shap Long Kau Tsuen registration on top of the hill). We've got shirts for you.....

8:30 am registration starts.

Bike truck leaves Mui Wo Ferry Pier at 8:10am (after the 7am Central ferry arrives and bikes are loaded on truck) and will also leave Tung Chung at around 8am (need to check when the bus leaves Tung Chung and will update this shortly)

REGISTRATION STARTED ONLINE. FREE TRUCK TRANSPORT FROM MUI WO FERRY PIER & TUNG CHUNG MTR BUT YOU MUST REQUEST ON YOUR ENTRY FORM IN BIO LINE. Map at bottom of this page.

Two race categories:

12 km (1 loop of Chi Ma Wan)

24 km (2 loops of Chi Ma Wan)

When registering for May 3 Chi Ma Wan please make a note in biography box if you want truck transport from Mui Wo pier or Tung Chung MTR as this truck transport will be free of charge only for those that ask for this before Weds April 29.

Changes, Cancellation & Refunds
Strictly no refunds once payment is made.  No transfer of credit is possible. Race Director has the final say on all matters.

Bike Numbers and Personal Bag Check:
Bike numbers for your bike handlebars, a category letter for your back and souvenir shirt to be picked up at registration 1 hour before race start. Bag check at starting point.

Drinks:
Meko & Gatorade on course and finish. And BEER at finish.

PRIZES:
Trophies for top 3 in each individual category in 2 lap 24 km race and certificates for 1 lap 12 km race.

HK$500 cash for Overall top man.

HK$500 cash for Overall top women.
