How to get to start finish area
https://www.nparks.gov.sg/gardens-parks-and-nature/parks-and-nature-reserves/chestnut-nature-park
Note will let you all know shortly about adding a shuttle bus from Chestnut MRT (Upper Bukit Timah Rd & Dairy Farm Rd) that is one of the closest MRT lines.
By Bus
Take bus 700 or 966 and alight at Block 202, Petir Road. From the bus stop, take an approximately 2km (30mins) walk along Petir Road/Chestnut Ave into Chestnut Nature Park.
By Car
Chestnut Nature Park’s car park will be closed near the eastern end of Chestnut Avenue so recommend to park in the HDB parking nearby on Petir Road. If you’re coming from the north (e.g. Bukit Panjang), drive along Petir Road and turn left at Chestnut Avenue to get to Chestnut Nature Park, but please remember as 5:30am we are trying to restrict traffic on Chestnut Ave and only to shuttle bus so they can get in and out smoothly or will be a traffic jam. If you’re coming from the south (e.g. Dairy Farm), drive along Petir Road and turn right at Chestnut Avenue. After turning, drive for about 1.5km along Chestnut Avenue and you will arrive at Chestnut Nature Park’s carpark on your left. As above recommend driving along Petir Road to HDB parking and walk 500-800m to Chestnut Nature Park. See photos on Course page and in pdf download to see HDB area. If no space by HDB area on Petir Rd go to Dairy Farm car park (click download pdf this page to see map) as 1.7k walk so arrive early.
By MRT
Nearest train station is Cashew MRT (downtown line). Bukit Panjang is also similar distance away as 7minutes by taxi.
Shuttle bus info
UPDATE on shuttle bus pre race - We have booked 6 shuttle buses leaving every 15 minutes starting at 4am from CASHEW MRT. We recommend you take a taxi to this location and take shuttle bus as Chestnut Avenue is a 1 way and it will be a bad traffic jam if everyone takes taxis to Chestnut as little room to turn around and we need space for the shuttle bus to turn around. If you do take taxi closer please get off near Petir Rd & Chestnut and walk from there around 800m along Chestnut Ave East direction towards the BKE direction.
To Chestnut Nature Park
We have arranged free shuttle bus services for you from Cashew MRT station to the race venue at Chestnut Nature Park. There are 6 shuttle buses departing every 15 minutes starting at 4am. It’s easy to find the pick-up point as there is only one taxi-stand outside of Cashew MRT station. We advise you to arrive early before the stipulated departure times. If you are taking a cab, alight at Cashew MRT station and take the shuttle bus. Or if you are driving, there’s parking in the vicinity so you can leave your car and take the shuttle bus. We encourage everyone to take the shuttle bus so as to avoid traffic jam to the race venue.

MSIG Singapore Action Asia 50
Action Asia Events present the 2nd edition in Singapore to their established MSIG trail race series - a flat, fast urban trail race through the heart of Singapore. Finisher medals for all categories together with a great dry tech shirt. Course around 80% similiar to the 2015 version with a few small changes due to very beginning of Green corridor being closed and this made up in other sections which will be posted shortly but still mainly trail and quite easy for all categories.
Cash Prize Purse - SGD 17,700
WATER policy at check points for ALL (No cup policy)
Recyling / No Cups racing
The average runner uses 3 paper cups over a 5km race.
Over 10k, 21k and 50k, that’s a lot of cups. Let’s help save the environment racing with NO CUPS. Use a reusable bottle, hydration bag or a foldable cup during a race, and take only what you need.
It just takes a small effort from everyone to make a big difference in the world we live in.
Finisher Medals
All finishers will receive a 'Finisher' medal. Speak to those who finished last year as good quality. Distances of 10k/21k/50k on back of medal.
Visor
All runners receive cool visor valued USD40 (SGD 53) in race packs
FIRST COME FIRST SERVE.
A great introductory 50 km course to the Garden city for the expansion of the MSIG Action Asia 50 series as the Singapore course will offer fast course options with 10km, 21km and 50km covering mainly flat grass and dirt tracks with a little rolling flat sections, not terribly difficult compared to the Hong Kong and Taiwan MSIG Action Asia courses so enjoy the fast times.
Luggage baggage check
Participants will be given a luggage tag in their race packs at race pack pick up and please put the tag with your race number on your bag for checkin 30-45 minutes before your race (10/21/50) at luggage checkin tent at start area and show your race number for pick up after the race.
Transport
Bus Transport easy to get to start / finish area - download pdf link coming with directions how to get to start as very convenient by taxi in heart of Singapore.
Course
The course is designed as a flat, fast urban trail to showcase a lesser known side of Singapore. The race comes with its own unique challenges such as the searing heat and stifling humidity that make each distance a test of mental and physical endurance.
